Dear users of the Warsaw Heavy Ion Cyclotron, We would like to invite you to submit proposals and Letters of Intent for new and continued experiments with the heavy-ion beams delivered by the U200-P cyclotron at Heavy Ion Laboratory (HIL), University of Warsaw. The HIL Programe Advisory Committee will select the experiments to be performed during the period from February 2024 till mid of July 2024. Letters of Intent for later projects are welcome as well. The oral presentation of proposals will take place at an open HIL PAC Meeting which will be held in the first half of January 2024. An exact date will be announced soon. The deadline for submitting proposals and Letters of Intent is 10th of December 2023. All the details concerning available beams, experimental setups and submission procedure can be found here....

At HIL, the experiment aiming to study the shape coexistence and octupole correlations in the light Xe, Cs and Ba nuclei was performed. The experiment was proposed by Dr Petrache from University Paris-Saclay and IJClab. The experiment employed the NEEDLE (NEDA+EAGLE) set-up coupled with the PLUNGER device of Cologne University and lasted two weeks. We thank all the researchers and students from the Paris-Saclay, IJClab, the University of Cologne, IFJ PAN of Cracow, the Institute of Modern Physics of Lanzhou, Simon Fraser University, Atomki, HIL and the cyclotron’s operators for their fundamental contribution.
