3rd GOSIA Workshop
The Coulomb Excitation method is presently used by many scientific collaborations all over the world. Interest in COULEX has increased after successful experimental campaigns at radioactive beam facilities as well as new results on the structure of stable nuclei. The complexity of experimental setups used to study new regions of the nuclear chart has resulted in previously unknown problems in data analysis.
The aim of the workshop is to bring together the community of present and potential GOSIA users. The meeting will provide veteran users with an opportunity to present recent achievements in COULEX analysis and allow newcomers to the field to solicit help from more experienced users.
The 3rd GOSIA Workshop will be held in the Heavy Ion Laboratory, University of Warsaw, 9-11 April, 2018.
The meeting will be focused on the following topics:
- Error estimation in GOSIA
- GOSIA in everyday use (recent sophisticated solutions and questions on current analysis)
- Future plans and development
The most important part of the workshop will be a “hands-on” GOSIA session.
Registration will be open from 8th of February, 2018.
Participants wishing to contribute are kindly requested to submit an abstract of their presentation using the website form by 16th of March 2018.
We welcome suggestions of problems to be dealt with during the “hands-on” GOSIA session. An updated list of proposed subjects will be available on the Workshop website.
Information about accommodation will be avaiable on the Workshop Web-page as well.
